Greer Aero, a portfolio company of Peloton Aerospace, represents the combination of three well known and respected aerospace distributors - Greer Industries, J&E Aerospace and Denco Aerospace. In late 2021, these three companies were combined into Greer Aero and focused entirely on the aviation, aerospace and aircraft MRO industries.

Greer Industries was founded in 1977 by Robert (Bob) Greer. Over the course of 4 decades, Bob grew the company in both size and stature gaining a reputation as a trusted and dedicated partner to some of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the U.S.  Under Bob’s guidance, Greer Industries became an important part of the supply chains for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the C-17 Globemaster and the V-22 Osprey. Greer Industries was purchased by Peloton Aerospace in 2017 to serve as the core distribution capability within the company’s portfolio.

In 2018, Greer Industries acquired J&E Aerospace. J&E Aerospace, founded in 1997 by Randy Cairns, specialized in the distribution of aircraft fasteners to Tier-2 manufacturers for specialty tooling applications. J&E brings deep hardware and fastener expertise to Greer Aero. Also, in 2019, Randy Cairns was appointed President of the Greer Industries and continues to hold that position at Greer Aero.

In 2019, Greer Industries acquired Denco Aerospace. Denco was also established in 1977 by Robert Denny, and later run by his son Gary, and for over four decades served OEMs, MRO companies and distributors with their aviation hardware needs. Currently this business is managed by Michael Denny, the grandson of Robert Denny, who carries on the Denco tradition of outstanding service and trusted customer relationships.

Together, the combination of these three great companies provides a level of expertise, a breadth of capabilities and a spirit of innovation not often found in small businesses serving the U.S. aviation and MRO industries.
